About Cecily
Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, to Bennett and Patricia, Cecily is a beautiful soul who never meets a stranger. With her bright smile and warm presence, she has a way of transforming any atmosphere the moment she walks in.
Cecily is the proud mother of two daughters and two fabulous granddaughters. In March of 2015, she faced a life-changing tragedy when her husband of seven years passed away suddenly from a massive heart attack. That experience reminded her just how precious life is, and she made the decision to truly start living.
She sold her home, closed her salon, and moved to Redding, California, to attend Bethel’s School of Supernatural Ministry. While there, she received her first passport stamp doing mission work in Argentina. Over the next few years, her travels took her across the world, serving on mission in Tanzania, visiting Nigeria, and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in France.
During her time at Bethel, Cecily had the distinct privilege of being part of Bethel Church’s first gospel choir. She was later invited on stage to sing background vocals for Tasha Cobbs-Leonard, Cory Asbury, Brian and Jenn Johnson, Alton Eugene, and many of Bethel Music’s leading worship artists. She was also featured as a background vocalist on Bethel’s “Victory” album, a true honor and dream come true.
With over 20+ years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist, Cecily is passionate about healthy hair and helping others feel confident in their natural beauty. In 2021, she launched Cecily’s Organics, a haircare line dedicated to using only the finest 100 percent organic ingredients. Out of her lifelong heart for the homeless, Cecily donates a portion of every bottle sold back to the community.
Today, Cecily lives in Dallas, Texas, with her wonderful husband, Osagie Osareniye, and their daughter. Together they share a beautiful life, traveling the world and spreading the love of Jesus wherever they go.
